1) Daniel Greathouse's time period of birth, has been derived from the age of his son, Samuel L. Greathouse, age 19, at the time of his enlistment in Captain J. Miller's Company, 7th Regiment, U. S. Infantry, which occurred on 23 Jun 1814. Samuel L. Greathouse, age 19 in 1814, would have been born in 1795. If Daniel Greathouse was age between 18 and 21, when his son Samuel L. Greathouse was born in 1795, then Daniel Greathouse would have been born between 1774 and 1777.
