1772, Aug 10 - Deed: Harman Greathouse and wife Mary to Michael Cresap

Grantor: Harman Greathouse (w. Mary) of Hampshire County, VA to Grantee: Michael Cresap of Frederick County, VA, 275 a., 249 a., on Potomac River; rec. 9-11-772. Wit.: None.

1) Harman Greathouse had this land surveyed in 1755. He sold both tracts to Michael Cresap [of Frederick County, VA or MD?] for L400.

1774, Jul to Nov - Abraham Hite, Junior was "Commissary of Provisions" in Hampshire County, VA from July to November 1774 in the Indian War at the behest of the County-Lieuetenant. The Commissioners had allowed 5sh per day, but he had an additional allowance of L6.10sh on 17 June 1776.

1775, Oct 17 - To Abraham Hite for provisions; Abraham Hite Jr. for purchasing Cattle; George Wilson for Corn & Meal;

1782 - Tax: Return of William Vause, Comm.

McDade, James; whites: 4.
