Surveyed for Robert [Albert] Gallatin and Savary De Valuntine 7000 Acres of Land in Greenbrier Count on two Land Office Treasury warrant Viz: No. 15238 of 200 Acres Granted to Ewing Annderson the 24th Decr. 1783. Entered the 8th October 1786 adjoining survey made on Ohio & Entered in Mononghalia & Harrison County Josiah Tumbleston John Price Duval Henry Banks and extending Southwardly John land Surveyed for Albert Gallatin & one Williams on same Right hand brances of mill creek & Returned in the aforementioned Counties and bounded as follows: Viz:

Beginning at Beech and white Oak Corner to sd. Tumbles Survey & Running thence along his & Davids & Banks lines S 43 E 154 pl. to a black Oak

East 144 pl. to white Oak

N 57 E 30 pl. to 3 burches crossing a run of the Ohio to a white Oak & Black Oak

S 50 E 40 pl. to 2 hickories

S 5 W 60 pl. to a black Gum & white Oak

N 84 E 198 pl. to black Oak Crossing a run of the Ohio

S 2 E 132 pl. to hickory

N 61-30 E 734 pl. crossing Sovl-Creeks that empties into the Ohio 60 poles below the mouth of Mill Creek to white Oak Corner to George Washingtons surv. the mouth of mill Creek

then by lands of Banks, Gallatin and Williams on S 340 pl. crossing 4 times Silver Creek to chestnut Oak

Edmund Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia To all To whom these presents Shall Come Greeting Know ye that by virtue and consideration of two Land Office Treasury Warrants Number fifteen Thousand Two hundred and thirty Eight Issued the Second day of April and number twenty one Thousand nine hundred Seventy Eight Issued the twenty fourth day of December one Thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three there is Granted by the Said Commonwealth unto Albert Gallatan and Savary de Valcoulon a Certain Tract or parcel of Land Containing Seven Thousand acres by Survey bearing Date the twenty Sixth day of March on thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Seven lying and being in the County of Greenbrier adjoining Surveys made on the Ohio and returned in Monongalia and Harrison Counties for Josiah Tumblestone [Joseph Tomlinson Jr.] John P. Duvall and Henry Banks and extending Southwardly to join Land Surveyed for Albert Gallatine and one Williamson on some right hand Branches of Mill Creek and returned in the aforesaid Counties and bounded as followeth to Wit

Begining at a beech and White oak corner to said Tumblestons Survey and running thence along Duvals and Banks Land South forty three degrees East One hundred and fifty poles to a Black oak

East one hundred and forty four poles to a white oak

North fifty Seven Degrees East thirty poles to three Beeches

South Seventy one one Degrees East three hundred and Ninety two poles crossing a Run of the Ohio to a white & Black Oak

South fifty Degrees East forty poles to two hickories

South five Degrees West forty poles to a black Gum and white oak

North Eighty four Degrees East One hundred and Ninety Eight poles to a black Oak crossing a Run of the Ohio

South twenty degrees East one hundred and thirty two Poles to a hickory

South forty one degrees thirty minutes East Seven hundred and thirty four poles crossing Silver Creek that empties in the Ohio fifty or Sixty poles below the mouth of Mill Cree to a white Oak Corner to General Washingtons Survey at the mouth of Mill Creek

thence by Lands of Banks Gallatin and Williamson South three Hundred and forty poles Crossing four times Silver Creek to a Chestnut Oak

South twenty four Degrees West Six hundred and ninety two poles to a white oak

South fifty degrees West Seven hundred and fifty poles

thence South Seventy four degrees thirty minets West Two hundred and forty poles to a post

North Nineteen degrees thirty minutes West fifteen hundred and thirty five poles to the Beginning

with its Appurtenances To have and to hold the said Tract or parcel of Land with Appurtenances to the said Albert Gallatin and Savary De Valcoulon and their Heirs forever. In Witness where of the said Edmund Randolph Esquire Governor of the Commonwealth of Virginia hath hereunto Set his hand and Causes the lesser Seal of the Said Commonwealth to be affixed at Richmond on the Seventeenth day of March in the Year of our our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Eight and of the Commonwealth the Twelfth.
