If so, please join us in our efforts to better document the Greathouse kith and kin who lived in this county, by sending your additions and corrections to Greathouse Point. 1783, May 26 - Land: Herman Greathouse to John Elder, Hermans Valley Herman Greathouse to John Elder } Deed Whereas the said Herman Greathouse was heretofore Seized of an indefeasible Estate of Inheritance in ten acres of Land lying and being in Baltimore County Called and known by the named of Hermans Vally and whereas also the said Harman Greathouse on the Twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Eighty three in Consideration of two hundred and fifty five Pounds Current Money of Maryland to him in hand paid by a Certain John Elder of Baltimore County the said Harman Greathouse did by his Certain Obligation in Writing bearing date the day and year aforesaid bind himself to the said John Elder in the penal sum of Five hundred Pounds Conditioned for the Conveyance of the aforesaid ten acres of Land to the said John Elder his heirs and assigns.
